The North Port Police Department is proud to announce that the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation has approved the agency for re-accreditation.
The accreditation process has long been recognized as means of maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. The certification is based on an independent review that the agency has met specific requirements and prescribed standards.
The Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation requires an agency to be re-accredited every three (3) years if they want to maintain this mark of excellence. The North Port Police Department was first accredited in 2000 and has since been re-accredited in 2003, 2006, 2009 and now 2012.
