CIOTThe Click It or Ticket Florida enforcement campaign is underway and runs through Monday, November 30, 2015. The Fort Myers Police Department are always active participants in this life saving endeavor and remain committed to raising awareness. Members of FMPD’s traffic unit as well as our uniformed patrol officers will take part in several operations over the next two weeks aimed at identifying unrestrained drivers and passengers.

The Fort Myers Police Department would like to remind you to buckle up every time you get in your vehicle.

  • Do it to protect yourself and others.
  • Do it to avoid a serious dent in your wallet — a ticket could be costly.

Already wear your safety belt? Keep it up!

While a majority of Floridians wear safety belts, those who don’t cost the state thousands of dollars in medical costs. Of course, you can’t put a price tag on the valuable lives lost. Safety belts save lives!
