maddOn Saturday July 25, 2015 two officers from the Fort Myers Police Department were honored by Mothers Against Drunk Driving Florida for various accomplishments in the fight to eliminate drinking and driving. MADD’s Program Specialist Lori Burke of the Southwest Florida MADD office nominated the officers for this award.

Officer Lesa Breneman and Officer Gustavo Goncalves were recognized at the MADD 2015 Statewide Law Enforcement Recognition and Training conference held in Fort Lauderdale, Fl. Both officers were honored for their outstanding dedication to driving under the influence enforcement and removing impaired drivers from the roadways. The officers were presented with the MADD Florida Recognition of Excellence – Individual DUI Enforcement Award.
