The Cape Coral Police Department has partnered with Safe Kids Lee/Collier Counties to host a car seat inspection event where nationally certified technicians will help you properly install your car seat.
The event will be held at the Cape Coral Police Department on Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
“It’s not enough to just have a safety seat for your child. For it to be effective, it has to also be properly installed,” says Cape Coral Police Detective Sargeant Dana Coston. “This event provides parents a chance to make sure they have properly and safely installed their child’s safety seat in their car, to get assistance with one that they might have just purchased or been given as a gift.”
Coston says the department will have trained professionals on-hand doing the inspections and assisting with installations.
