The Fort Myers Police Department has submitted the Semi-Annual Uniform Crime Report to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for review. The mid-year numbers show an overall decrease in crime by 4.2%. In addition, Homicides are down 57% when compared to the same time last year. “I am proud of the men and women who serve the City each and every day”, said Chief Doug Baker. “The numbers show how hard we are working for the safety of our community.”
