The Fort Myers Police Department will hold its 6th Annual Cops & Joggers 5K race on Saturday September 28th 2013. The events kick off at 6:00pm and the race starts at 7:45pm. This is a night run with the course lighted and lined with emergency vehicles. This is a family event there will be food music, displays and more.
This year’s race will honor two longtime public safety employees:
- FMPD – Dispatcher Lisa Lewis who passed away last month and was an original race committee member.
- Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office- Sgt. Michael Wilson.
Please join the event and spread the word. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Fort Myers Police Department Fallen Officer Fund and the Brotherhood Ride.
