Kids Bag Groceries for FMPD COACH Thanksgiving Drive

(Fort Myers, FL) – The Fort Myers Police Department’s COACH (Community Outreach Against Child Hunger) program got many helping hands today from area middle and grade school students who bagged food to be distributed to needy families for Thanksgiving. The COACH campaign is led by Sgt. Jacquelyn Garrett in association with Franklin Park Elementary School. Their goal is to supply 50 families with enough food to have a holiday meal complete with a turkey and side dishes. The donated and purchased food was loaded onto tables in the parking lot of the FMPD and children lined up to fill bags and deliver them to a waiting van for transport to the school. For more information or to donate to the COACH program contact Sgt. Garret at (239) 321-7703 or email her at jgarrett@fmpolice.com.
