Fort Myers Police Athletic League Hosts “Bike Education Day”
(Fort Myers, FL) The kids called it “the best bike ride ever”. Members of the Fort Myers Police Bike Unit along with officers and volunteers of PAL (Police Athletic League) made it a day of bike education, safety and fun with area children at the STARS complex in Fort Myers. Bike patrol officers ran kids through an obstacle course and then led them on a ride around the area neighborhoods. The FMPD was able to assemble donated bicycles for kids in need of one and the I Will Mentorship Foundation donated bike helmets. Members of the Fort Myers Fire Department joined in to help adjust bikes for the children and conduct proper helmet fittings.
