Ofc. Nenadal & K9 Chase

The Fort Myers Police Department is proud to announce the retirement of Police K9 Chase today. K9 Chase has spent the last seven plus years serving the community and department alongside his handler Officer Shaun Nenadal.

K9 Chase was predominately assigned to patrol working as a dual purpose K9 conducting numerous tracks, building clearings and drug investigations. K9 Chase also spent time working exclusively with the Violent Crimes Task Force over the years.

K9 Chase attended the K9 academy from April 2007 until graduation in August 2007. Shortly after graduation K9 Chase hit the ground running in the City of Fort Myers and compiled the following statistics:

  • Total Deployments – 1,277K9 Chase & Toy
  • Total Vehicle/Building/Narcotics Searches – 786
  • Total Apprehensions – 87
  • Total Training Hours – 2,194

FMPD appreciates the service, dedication, and contribution that K9 Chase and Officer Nenadal have made during their time together as partners. K9 Chase will now spend his days relaxing with the Nenadal family. Please join us in congratulating K9 Chase on his retirement.
