On Friday, September 13, 2013 spend the night with the Fort Myers Police Department’s Delta Squad. FMPD will debut their latest social media tool with an “Insta-Ride-Along” on Instagram. Current FMPD social media followers will also be able to receive updates via Facebook and Twitter. Followers will start the evening at 6:00 p.m. with the Squad’s briefing and then head out on the road. “We are always looking for ways to have more interaction with the public,” said Chief Doug Baker. “There’s never a dull moment in the City of Fort Myers whether we are participating in community policing activities or responding to calls for service. We hope the virtual ride along will offer a unique perspective of public safety.” To participate in the ride along visit @fmpolice on Instagram. www.instagram.com/fmpolice
