“2013 National Crime Victims’ Rights Week”
Sunday, April 21, 2013 marks the beginning of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, a time to honor crime victims, the extraordinary individuals and programs that serve them and our nation’s progress in advancing their rights. This year’s theme – New Challenges New Solutions – celebrates the spirit that will advance the progress these heroes achieved.
Each year, area law enforcement and the Twentieth Judicial Circuit raise public awareness about crime victims’ rights and the services available in our community. Victims need to know what rights and resources they can count on, from funds to help bury a loved one or pay medical bills, to information about the criminal justice system and their rights in court. Justice for crime victims benefits the entire community. Help make a difference by joining law enforcement at the following events:
- Sunday, April 21, 2013
- 6:45 p.m.
- Proclamation Ceremony
- Clemente Park
- 1936 Henderson Avenue, Fort Myers
- Wednesday, April 24, 2013

- Saturday, April 27, 2013
