Collier County’s Sheriff Kevin Rambosk will serve on the board of directors of the Florida Sheriffs Association, he announced Wednesday.

Rambosk was appointed to the position Jan. 27 during the association’s winter conference in Miramar Beach, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The FSA is a forum for law enforcement officials to address lawmakers, promote changes to the justice system, and help provide training and services to sheriff’s offices.

Rambosk currently serves on boards for the Shelter for Abused Women and Children, the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce and Youth Haven.

He also is the vice-chairman of the Substance Abuse Coalition of Collier County, a co-chairman of the Southwest Florida Domestic Security Task Force and a member of the D.A.R.E. America International Executive Law Enforcement Advisory Board, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
