FMPD Lt. Victor Medico Graduates from FBI Training Academy

(Fort Myers, FL) The Fort Myers Police Department is proud to announce that Lieutenant Victor Medico graduated on Friday, June 8th

from the 272nd session of the FBI National Academy held at Quantico, Virginia. Lt. Medico completed the internationally known, 10 week law enforcement and academic program as part of a 232 member class from throughout the United States and 25 international countries.

“The quality of leadership and professionalism I was surrounded by for the last 10 weeks was world class,” stated Lt. Medico. “It was an honor to attend the FBI National Academy and I look forward to sharing the knowledge and experience gained,” he concluded.

Training for the program is provided by the FBI Academy instructional staff, Special Agents, and other staff members holding advanced degrees, many of who are recognized internationally in their fields of expertise. “Lieutenant Medico’s successful completion of the FBI National Academy is an integral part of the FMPD’s dedication to the advancement of our officers,” said Chief Derrick Diggs.  “This department’s vision is to recruit, train and develop future leaders for our command staff who are committed to the safety and security of our citizens,” he added.

A total of 51,042 graduates now represent the alumni of the FBI National Academy since it began in 1935.
