Fort Myers Police Athletic League Boxers take Honors

(Fort Myers, FL) Fort Myers Police Athletic League boxers traveled to Fort Pierce over the weekend of November 3rd through the 5th to compete in the Florida State PAL Boxing Tournament. Officer Lamar Campbell and Coach Jose Ojeda are extremely proud of the five participating FMPD PAL boxers, three of whom had no experience in their first tournament. 14 year old Danilo Diez, 9 year old Terry Sanders and 12 year old Ke’juan Saze all won belts at the State PAL Boxing Tournament and are now FL State PAL champions. In addition to the Florida State title boxer Danilo Diez previously won the USA Boxing Tournament in Tennessee earning him an invitation to the National Elite tournament in Utah next month. He is now ranked #2 by USA Boxing and will be traveling to Salt Lake City for the National Championships. His ultimate goal is to compete in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
