TSA is offering behavior recognition training to law enforcement personnel. This training is an invaluable tool for federal, state and local law enforcement officers in determining and articulating the scientifically recognized signs of deception in an initial encounter situation. This training is being offered FREE of charge and is facilitated by Carl Maccario who is a certified instructor from the Eckman Group. Mr. Maccario is a recognized Subject Matter Expert in the implementation and practical application of the Screening Passengers by Observation Techniques(SPOT) program. Mr. Maccario has provided this one day seminar to hundreds of law enforcement officers across the country and these techniques are being used by law enforcement around the world. This training will provide familiarization with the basic practical knowledge of behavioral recognition as it relates to observable indicators exhibited by individuals for stress, fear, or deception.
- Practical techniques for establishing baseline behavior
