Beginning at 7:00 a.m. this Saturday, April 8th, through Sunday, April 9th, the Fort Myers Police Department’s SWAT Team will host our annual Josh Hargis Ranger Ruck to honor the sacrifices made by military members and to raise funds for a great cause. All proceeds from this year’s event will benefit the American Heart and Stroke Association. In addition to raising money for the American Heart and Stroke Association, this year’s event will once again honor the countless sacrifices made by our military members to protect our great nation.

During the 24 hours event, FMPD SWAT members will trek various distances over the Edison Bridge while wearing their tactical equipment. Adding the gear to the run gives the officers a small example of what our servicemen and women experience every single day.

The Fort Myers Police Department is asking our community to come out and support our SWAT Team members, the American Heart and Stroke Association, and our nation’s military personnel.
