This Saturday is the big community event, the 15th Annual State Attorney’s Office Law Enforcement Appreciation Day Softball Tournament.

It’s at the Century Link Sports Complex next to Hammond Stadium in Fort Myers. Gates open to the public at 8 a.m.

We have 12 law enforcement teams competing for an Upper and Lower Division title, including Team SAO! The brackets are attached so you can see times of play.

A special thanks to Investigator Bob Nichols for all of his help putting the softball tournament together.

Also thanks to ASA Scott Miller for designing the poster below.

The many agencies participating are really hyped up for the games. It should be another great year.

We have many fabulous raffle prizes donated to Crime Stoppers who get all of the profits from this event. We have vacations, spa days, even jewelry.

There is also a large carnival for the kids. All of the games are free and we have great prizes for them to win.

There will be a fly-over by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, SWAT team demonstrations as well as LEO K-9’s to see.

Of course, there will be lots of good food too.
