The Punta Gorda Police Department has been awarded Excelsior Status by the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation (CFA) for a second time. The Commission convened at the ChampionsGate Resort in ChampionsGate, Florida yesterday to review thirty three (33) Florida criminal justice agencies for either initial, reaccredited, or Excelsior status.
